Dr. Kara Heuvelhorst has been with Northwest Imaging since 2022. She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as a concurrent Master’s degree in Healthcare Services Administration. Dr. Heuvelhorst completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn and received her fellowship training at Mayo Clinic Rochester, specializing in Breast and Women’s Imaging/Body Imaging. In her personal time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, amateur woodworking, dirt biking, fishing, travel, gardening and a broad range of DIY hobbies. She considers herself a lifelong learner and frequently attends community education classes at FVCC.
